Came for a conference… This place is exhausted. It was dingy, dated, the room was cold and drafty with dim lighting/ no natural light. the carpets were dirty.. our internet didn’t work for half of the conference.. there was no way to charge our laptops other than power strips against the wall. You could hear the kitchen through the doors… The toilet seat was barely attached to the toilet.. the escalators didn’t function..Long story short.. I’d recommend against having any conferences here. It’s surprising how long such a well known entity will go without investing in their space, especially in such a prominent location in downtown Rochester. The Hyatt should be embarrassed.

Renovated hotel. Location is the best thing. The ac is very very poor within the rooms. Though not charged ( so far but ) was asked $10 a day for a microwave in the room, additional to the room rate. I have heard all good things about the hotel from everyone, however I was not impressed with the price paid and value received. In terms of room, updated, no carpet ( good ). Bathroom was good. Beds and pillow we’re not that comfortable however the biggest issue was air conditioning within the room. The thermostat did not do anything even if we reduced it to 66. The room.was hot always.
Not sure will book again.

There’s everything to like about this hotel. Their rates are reasonable, the surroundings are clean, and the rooms are state of the art.
The front desk employees are visibly present, unlike some hotels I’ve visited recently.
They are exceptionally professional and friendly. This hotel takes customer service to a whole new level. I would recommend this hotel over and over and over again. Certainly my favorite! They give many known brands a ran for their money.
Their in-house restaurant also serves some of the most delicious Salmon dishes I’ve had in recent years. The Atlantic salmon with Risotto is to die for. I just wish they serve desserts.

Elegant old hotel. The staff were wonderful. The room was spacious and beautiful. There are quirks, if you want a cookie cutter hotel this may not work for you.

I slept a great night in this hotel, I liked everything, classic interior design in historical building , the bed 🛌 is smaller than usual (less than double size)

The room was just beautiful! We were first placed in the wrong room. The manager graciously corrected the misunderstanding and put us in a lovely room. Everything was first class.

Front desk staff were courteous
Lobby was nice
Pool was nice experience
Lovely grounds with seating and fire pit
Pet friendly
You have to ask for room cleaning before 10AM
The room wasn’t as nice as I thought it would be. A bit drab and dated. The bathroom didn’t have a fan. Most if not all rooms had balconies. Roof top area was cool. For a two room suite housekeeping should provide more towels without the guest having to request it.
Also the room should have came with extra bedding and pillows for the pullout sofa without me having to request it.
Hotel had a nice guest laundry. The front desk provided free detergent and had some quarters available.
I did not appreciate housekeeping seemingly trying to open my door and knocking on it at 9 in the morning on check out day. Check out is at 11. That is why anytime I am in a room I put the security guard on the door.
It was a nice experience all in all.

I stayed the night of the fire. I wouldnt have even given a rating on google, but I’m filling out a survey and this is the next step. I’ve stayed here in the past, and it’s been fine. I was hoping for a good experience away from the children, and was really looking forward to it. The fire ruined our stay.

Hotel was fine, but for the price I expected better. Terrible pillows, other guests were super loud at all hours (despite there being a “quiet hours”policy), and staff was not overly helpful. I could get over all of this if I was at a HIE, but for somewhere that is supposed to be a four star hotel, it was disappointing.

The actual terminal at Rochester Trailway’s / Greyhound is not good at all. They have zero inside to go to still… Even though we have seems the pandemic get better…. But they still won’t open up. So if your talking a Greyhound bus to Rochester BE SAFE!!!

Total joke. The inside is closed now, everyone waits outside, no security, or bathrooms. They ceased in person operation and didn’t tell anyone, they let me sit in the rain for hours and then didn’t let me in the bus, buy your ticket online, it’s the only way. You show up thinking it’s closed, no postage, no idea what’s going on.

This is a brand new station that Rochester should be so proud of and you pull up and all the planters have weeds growing out of them and cigarette butts it’s a disgrace to see Louise slaughter’s name on this and no one takes care of it!
Shame on Rochester, this could be a great city!!

City of Rochester, please update this facility! It is in desperate need. If we want to have the top caliber events, we need to get out of the circa 1994 time warp 🙄 It’s one of Rochester’s front facing facades to visitors from all over the world. We can make this happen, if it’s important enough. And it IS.

Great small theater for small productions. No bad seats on the first level, Balcony in the first two rows are ok, but further back can induce vertigo. Side ‘box’ seats aren’t great. My favorite shows have been A Christmas Story, and of course A Christmas Carol. Geva makes those productions so magical.

Ring of Fire – Great performance! Bravo!! Well done!! (Because it’s outside, it would be great to turn the volume up a bit. And perhaps remind people to bring chair cushions). Great evening.

Good performance and great outside set-up. My only comment is that the lobby should have been open after the show for us who needed to use the restrooms. Portable potties may be acceptable at CMAC country concerts but not the only alternative at GEVA. You need to consider the older folks who support downtown theater.

The Little is a cultural institution here in Rochester. I hadn’t been in years, but being in the city now I’ve taken the opportunity to see a few movies so far and it’s been a wonderful experience. Buying tickets is easy and I really appreciate the vaccination check at the door – makes me feel much more comfortable than going to a chain theater. I also like the lineups I’ve seen, they’ve been a good mix of artsier/foreign films and ones that are a bit more mainstream. Employees are super nice, other theatergoers are quiet and respectful, and tickets/concessions are affordable. The only downside is parking fills up fast, so go early. I can’t wait to keep seeing movies here!

Great place to eat and get a beer before a baseball game at frontier field. Offers awesome views of downtown Rochester and High Falls. Also offers a great selection of beers not normally found in stores or at other local bars. I had the Brew House Blood Orange Hefeweizen and it was very good tasted kinda like a blue moon. I also had the regular Genesee Beer which is my normal beer of choice. For dinner I had the garbage plate was very good.

Local must! Great selection of beers, and more than just your average bar food. I’ve gotten something different to eat each time I’ve come here, and have liked everything. All of the staff is friendly and they don’t rush you to finish your meal and/or drinks like some places do. The outdoor patio seating area is heated, so even on cool nights you can still be comfortable, and there’s a beautiful view to top it off.

Beer is Genesee beer. It’s solid. The store downstairs is super cute. But the bar/restaurant upstairs isn’t as “charming” as i thought it might be. So much potential in this beautiful building. Beer garden is nice when open the high balcony outdoor seating you can see some of the falls. Totally worth visiting though. Solid history.

From the moment we arrived I felt like a welcome guess. The seating attendants were very kind and happy to help. We had mezzanine seats, third row back and the view was just fine. I thought we would be farther from the stage than we were. The sound was just fine as well. The attendants let us roam the theater to view the gorgeous chandelier and even engaged us in some trivia. (In case you are asked, there are 3500 crystals in the chandelier, but you didn’t hear that from me.) This is a beautiful theater.

Acoustics are good and the that is pretty. It’s small so I imagine most seats have good views. No where does it say, that we could find, and you can only take water into the theater, so if you wait in the concession stand and get there right before the event starts, guess what? Throw it out, you can’t take it into the that’s with you.
